Dion L. Coley Dion Coley is recognized as a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer (CPFT) through the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA), which is accredited by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Additionally, he received a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certificate through the premier international organization, American Aerobics Association, International (AAAI/ISMA). Dion also obtained two Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees, in Computer Science & Information Systems and Communication Studies, both from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He held a managers post at one of South Jersey’s largest fitness corporations, where he was also a top notch lead trainer. Dion spent many years, since 1996 honing and developing his unique skills as a health and fitness professional. In 1998, he made a decision to commit himself to bringing the ideals of health and fitness to the community, as a direct result of a fatal occurrence that impacted his immediate family. Dion spent an entire year in the Islands of the Bahamas from 1999 to 2000, where he worked tirelessly developing his Substantive Training (ST) approach, for both men and women. In 2005 he was intent on using his knowledge, experience and skills as a health and fitness professional to make a difference in the lives of those in need. While working for a local health club, Dion realized that it was not conducive for the type of environment that would afford the opportunities for members and clients, that he so commanded. Coley gave birth to the Elite Fitness concept in 2006. And in 2008, he created the personable and stylish Elite Fitness personal training studio and fitness center, an ideal facility for helping others reach peak health and fitness goals. Dion believes that health and fitness for most people is as simple as changing their attitudes, and ironically, “We change attitudes.” is the motto of Elite Fitness. “I realize that when I instruct and educate clients and members, it is an opportunity for them to receive a fun and exciting attitude adjustment towards health and fitness. The creative, challenging and caring attitude that is facilitated through my Substantive Training© (ST) program is just one of the ways that Elite Fitness outperforms other fitness facilities. It’s in part a fusion of yoga and Pilates, with strength and resistance training. In addition, I established a Wellness and Health Initiative Program© (W.H.I.P.) that is designed to provide healthy, nutritional, physical exercise and wellness standards to both children and adults suffering from obesity, thus attempting to prevent the onset of chronic diseases. Our atmosphere is undoubtedly well-matched to our training.” At Elite Fitness the goal was to create an environment that
encourages and cultivates an attitude so we are “not driven by success, but driven
to be successful.”
